The power of 3!

WOW, I was often told that the third child makes a world of difference. That is the most true statement ever! When it was just Pat and Jaden, even though Jaden is wild, I thought I had a handle on things. We were able to get places on time, I could prepare and serve meals, and even bed time was not bad. NOW, NO WAY! It takes about 45 extra minuets to do everything. Getting kids in the car with all their stuff is really overwhelming. Sitting through church is nothing short of a miracle. The baby needs to eat right in the middle of meal preparation, which makes the other kids get impatient demanding and whinny. Jaden knows that when mom is feeding baby Ryker, which is about every 3 hours, he can raid the snack cupboard, or run out the door. Even Patrick thinks it is funny to encourage misbehaving when I need to care for the baby. I find that being sleep deprived dose not help ether. For the sake of sanity I resort to the fallowing: "DR PEPPER" and lots of it. If I was not sure before, I am now, 3 is the max capacity for this family. I know that it gets better, the real question is when?????

The Pillings welcome Ryker Ray!

I love to watch him sleep. He is so peacefull.

He is holding his hand weird, but his face is soooo cute.

Look how little he is.

A dubble take.

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Ryker Ray Pilling! He is such a great blessing to our family, even though nothing about getting him here went as planed. To start at the beginning I had been having contractions all the time for about 2 weeks and the hospital sent me home each time I went to get checked out. That was not fun at all, spending up to 4 hours a visit just to be sent home, Yuck. Well on Saturday June 5th I went in at about 9:30 pm and at 12:34 am Ryker was born. Because the hospital needed to monitor me for over an hour, there was not enough time for any pain medicine. That is right, I had him NATURAL!! Me of all people. I could not believe how tough I was. Although you can do anything for 45 min.
He was 5 lbs 5oz and was 17 in long. He is a well tempered baby, for now, and loves to be held by his brothers. Pat and Jaden love him so much. Brad made a video and you can view it at Brad's link on facebook.

Baby boy goes to New York

Ok, I know it has been forever. Our camera is broke so I wanted to wait till it was fixed but that is not in the near future and you all probably want to know what is up with us. Well First, we are having our 3rd and last boy in June. His name at this point is Ryker Ray. "I hope he dose not have a speech problem, that is a lot of R's." The boys are getting very exited. I can not take them in a store with out them making me buy a toy for Ryker.
I also took Ryker to New York last month. It was the best thing ever. I love it there!! I stayed with my uncle Glen and his family. I loved being part of their lives, it really helped me get to know them better. I saw 3 shows. "View from a bridge", that was my favorite because Liev Schriber stared in it. He signed my play bill and I am having it framed. "Memphis", this one was fun and really upbeat. "Next to normal", this one was sad and really made you think about your family and how each one's actions effect the other members. I also went to some museums and just had a great time. Next time I go I will go when it is warmer.

An Update

I know it has taken forever for me to post something new. Not that things are not happening, we are just so busy. Well here is the latest.

1. We are expecting baby #3 this summer.
I am 12 weeks and it has been harder than I remember. I have been very sick this time. BOO! I am taking this as a sign that a girl is in there. Patrick is so exited and asks me all the time to remind him what the baby's name is. We have 2 names picked out, ether Amber or Riker. My due date is July 1st, and this is the last one.

2. We are getting ready for Christmas.
Patrick wanted to have a colored tree this year and he chose purple of all things. He loved helping me place the gifts under it. Jaden and Pat both are always getting into it trying to get the candy canes Brad placed on the tree. I love to see the kids get exited about Christmas.
3. Brad got a new job.
Brad is now working at the Art Institute Collage. He loves it and it seems to be a good fit. It is still a contract position but we are hopeful that this one sticks. He is putting in so many hours and all though I am alone with the boys allot I am so proud of him for working to provide for us.

Halloween

Both of the kids were so cute. Patrick loved his costume he never took it off for days. This year Pat told me if I was going tick or treating with them then I needed a costume too. He helped me pick it out. I looked great. Jaden, just being himself, totally completed his costume. What a great year.

New Beds and Quilts

So our boys are into cars, "can you tell?" It was time to take the crib down and you guessed it more cars beds. We got Pat a Lightning McQueen bed for his birthday, and Jaden got a little car bed for his. Pat says that it is Sally, because it is blue and smaller that Lightning,(His bed). They love it.

No cars room would be complete without some quilts to go with it. I have the best grandma in the whole world. She is so talented and I love her willingness to make special keepsakes for the boys. She hand made both quilts for the boy's beds. Each is unique and special. Jaden loves to point to the correctors and tell me all about them. Bed time takes longer now but it is well worth it. They will be so sung and warm this winter.
